Pre Reiki session:
To prepare for a Reiki healing session, it's recommended to: eat lightly beforehand, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water, avoid alcohol and caffeine, wear comfortable clothing, clear your mind through meditation or deep breathing exercises, and inform your practitioner about any specific concerns or areas you'd like to focus on; essentially creating a relaxed state of mind and body to allow for optimal energy flow during the session.
Post Reiki session:
After a Reiki treatment, you may experience physical symptoms such as headache, nausea, and fatigue. Occasionally, pain or discomfort will intensify briefly before release. These experiences are sometimes referred to as a Healing Reaction or a Healing Catharsis and usually indicate that the body is detoxifying as it moves through the healing process. Should this happen, extend the recommended regimen, take care to stay well hydrated, get plenty of rest, and generally be kind to yourself.
