The Sanskrit name for this energy center is Svadisthana. Overall, this energy center impacts your emotions, creativity, and sexuality. This energy center is located in the physical area of your lower vertebrae, including the sex organs, bladder, kidneys, hip, and appendix. Emotionally, this can affect creativity, feelings of joy, optimism, openness, and trust in the goodness of life. Sometimes passions are dulled or overactivated, causing some manipulative and overemotional reactions. When this is blocked, isolation, addictions, and not caring for oneself are evident.

Some ways to start healing your sacral chakra would be to follow a passion for music, painting, creating, or journaling. Spending time near water, a lake, or the ocean is a great way to release and open up this chakra. Eating healthy foods, especially oranges, carrots, melons, nuts, and seeds, all help heal this specific energy center. Wearing orange or surrounding yourself with plants and animals all support a healthy sacral chakra. Sound baths with the frequency and tones of 285Hz and 396Hz also work with this energy center to restore balance, help with tissue repair, and liberate one's guilt and fear.
